• Baobab – wild farmed and ethically sourced with smallholder farmers in Kenya. A botanical favourite, known as one of the largest succulents in the world. Often labelled a tree, the baobab plant is an iconic part of its native African landscape. Best grown in hot, arid environments that see little rainfall. The part of the tree used in our products is actually its fruit, generally known for its regenerative properties. These include excellent skin softening and healing with antioxidants, Vitamin A, B, C & E, along with omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids.
• Jojoba – wild farmed and ethically sourced with smallholder farmers on Kenya’s arid plains. As a drought resistant, perennial shrub, the oil accounts for 50% of the jojoba seed and is extracted by cold-pressing, a process that helps maintain the rich nutritional value of the oil. Known to pack vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties, it’s technically not an oil, but a wax ester.
